This stone Ganesh idol sitting on a raised simhasan is carved inside a tall temple arch, with two standing attendant figures in side niches and a pair of small mouse figures at the base. Lord Ganesh is seated with one hand raised and a round bowl placed before him on the seat. Ganesh is worshipped at the start of new beginnings, and this piece shows him seated in a temple-style setting.

Ganesh in a Carved Temple Arch

Our karigars shape this piece by hand from stone, so the arch, the crown and the side pillars come out in one solid block with no joints. The stone has a natural sandy tone, with a rosy pink shade left bare on the attendant figures and on parts of the crown, giving a two-colour look. Small birds sit along the curve of the arch, and a lotus medallion is carved on the front of the base. The idol stands 12 inches tall, enough to be the main murti on a puja shelf or a home temple. Dust the niches and the base carving gently with a dry cloth now and then.

Choosing a Stone Ganesh Murti

We pick each stone idol for how clean and even the carving sits across the arch, the figures and the base. If this size does not suit your space, our karigars can carve a custom size or a matching piece for the same temple set. Message us to ask about it.

The Art of Handcrafted Heritage

Every piece offered at Janijatra is an original work of art, handcrafted by skilled artisans who carry forward Odisha's centuries-old traditions of Pattachitra and Tala Patra Chitra. Each stroke is made by hand, making every creation distinct, soulful, and impossible to replicate exactly.

Made Exclusively for You

The artwork displayed in the image is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted piece. As our creations are individually made, the exact piece shown may already be sold or may not be currently available. Should you place an order, a new piece will be specially handcrafted for you with the same care and detail.

Being entirely handmade, slight variations in colour, fine detailing, or finish may appear when compared to the original image. These subtle differences are not flaws — they are the signature of authentic, handcrafted art, and a mark of the human touch behind every piece.

Thoughtful Packaging & Safe Delivery

We understand that each artwork is precious. Every piece is carefully packed using protective materials to ensure it reaches you in pristine condition. Fragile creations are given special attention, with secure wrapping and reinforced packaging designed to safeguard the artwork throughout its journey to your doorstep.

Caring for Your Artwork

To preserve the beauty of your piece for years to come, a few simple steps go a long way. For paintings on cloth and palm leaf, keep your artwork away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture, as these may affect the natural colours over time. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid using water or chemical cleaners. For traditional palm leaf (Tala Patra) works, store in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the leaf.

Stone artworks are durable by nature and can be placed both indoors and outdoors, making them a beautiful addition to gardens, balconies, and open spaces as well as interior settings.
