Pancha Ganesha palm leaf art brings together five forms of Lord Ganesh in one long panel. Each figure has an elephant head and a human body, and the middle figure sits while the four others stand around in a row. Odisha artists call this craft Tala Patra Chitra, a practice of scratching fine lines onto dried palm leaf and filling them in by hand.

Five Forms of Ganapati on Palm Leaf

Our karigars draw each of the five Ganesh figures by hand on palm leaf, then fill in the colours one by one: yellow for the body, deep red and green for the garments, and black outlines that mark out the crowns and ornaments clearly. The border is lined with small triangular patterns in black, giving the whole panel a finished look. The painted leaf is set inside a frame with cane edges tied in red thread at the corners, ready to hang on a wall. It sits well in a puja room, a hallway or a living room wall where guests can see it closely. Dust the surface lightly with a dry cotton cloth now and then to keep the colours looking fresh.

The Art of Handcrafted Heritage

Every piece offered at Janijatra is an original work of art, handcrafted by skilled artisans who carry forward Odisha's centuries-old traditions of Pattachitra and Tala Patra Chitra. Each stroke is made by hand, making every creation distinct, soulful, and impossible to replicate exactly.

Made Exclusively for You

The artwork displayed in the image is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted piece. As our creations are individually made, the exact piece shown may already be sold or may not be currently available. Should you place an order, a new piece will be specially handcrafted for you with the same care and detail.

Being entirely handmade, slight variations in colour, fine detailing, or finish may appear when compared to the original image. These subtle differences are not flaws — they are the signature of authentic, handcrafted art, and a mark of the human touch behind every piece.

Thoughtful Packaging & Safe Delivery

We understand that each artwork is precious. Every piece is carefully packed using protective materials to ensure it reaches you in pristine condition. Fragile creations are given special attention, with secure wrapping and reinforced packaging designed to safeguard the artwork throughout its journey to your doorstep.

Caring for Your Artwork

To preserve the beauty of your piece for years to come, a few simple steps go a long way. For paintings on cloth and palm leaf, keep your artwork away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture, as these may affect the natural colours over time. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid using water or chemical cleaners. For traditional palm leaf (Tala Patra) works, store in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the leaf.

Stone artworks are durable by nature and can be placed both indoors and outdoors, making them a beautiful addition to gardens, balconies, and open spaces as well as interior settings.
