This ram darbar pattachitra art draws the eye first to a blue-faced figure in a tall crown and green clothes, seated at the centre beside a yellow-faced figure on a grey lotus-petal platform. A scalloped arch rises behind them and a red parasol floats above. Ten figures fill the scene, and one man at the left blows into a white conch with both hands. In tradition, Ram Darbar shows Lord Ram holding court with Sita, his brothers and Hanuman at his feet.
The Ram Darbar Court Scene
Look at the figures around the central pair. A figure behind them raises a long curved sword, another holds a tall fly-whisk with a white tuft, and one at far right lifts a round disc with a flame-shaped top. A small orange-brown monkey-faced figure kneels at the foot of the platform, and a green figure with an animal-like snout stands at left in red and green. We cannot tell what the seated pair hold in their hands, so look closely when it arrives. Each line is drawn by hand on canvas with natural colour, so no two paintings are exactly alike. The background glows bright orange-red with white dots and striped curtains across the top. Below, the floor is a turquoise and black diamond check, and a wide floral border in yellow, black and white runs around the edge. It sits in a black frame. Dust it gently with a dry soft cloth and keep it out of damp corners and harsh sun. On a living room wall or beside a puja corner, the orange ground carries warm colour into the room.

Made Exclusively for You
The artwork displayed in the image is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted piece. As our creations are individually made, the exact piece shown may already be sold or may not be currently available. Should you place an order, a new piece will be specially handcrafted for you with the same care and detail.
Being entirely handmade, slight variations in colour, fine detailing, or finish may appear when compared to the original image. These subtle differences are not flaws — they are the signature of authentic, handcrafted art, and a mark of the human touch behind every piece.
Thoughtful Packaging & Safe Delivery
We understand that each artwork is precious. Every piece is carefully packed using protective materials to ensure it reaches you in pristine condition. Fragile creations are given special attention, with secure wrapping and reinforced packaging designed to safeguard the artwork throughout its journey to your doorstep.
Caring for Your Artwork
To preserve the beauty of your piece for years to come, a few simple steps go a long way. For paintings on cloth and palm leaf, keep your artwork away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture, as these may affect the natural colours over time. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid using water or chemical cleaners. For traditional palm leaf (Tala Patra) works, store in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the leaf.
Stone artworks are durable by nature and can be placed both indoors and outdoors, making them a beautiful addition to gardens, balconies, and open spaces as well as interior settings.
