This krishna pattachitra wall decor draws the eye first to the elephant-like form built from many small figures in black ink line, with a standing Krishna in profile playing a flute beside it. He wears a tall crown and holds the flute raised to his lips with both hands, under a canopy of white leaves. In the Odisha tradition, the Kandarpa Hasti shows Krishna’s play, where gopis join together to shape one elephant for him.
Krishna With Kandarpa Hasti Painting
Our karigars paint this on canvas in the Pattachitra way. Fine black lines are drawn first, then flat natural-toned colour is filled in. The background is bright blue, with a red sky and white clouds at the top. Two small winged figures fly on either side of the top. A dancing figure stands on the left beside the elephant form. A woman at the right holds a long garland. A temple-style arch and a stepped tower in black and white fine pattern sit behind them, inside a black floral border. Look closely at the elephant body, where the figures are drawn into one another. This is the detail many shoppers miss. The painting stands 19 inch high. Wipe it gently with a dry cloth and keep it away from damp walls. On a living room wall, the blue ground and red sky catch the eye from across the room.

Made Exclusively for You
The artwork displayed in the image is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted piece. As our creations are individually made, the exact piece shown may already be sold or may not be currently available. Should you place an order, a new piece will be specially handcrafted for you with the same care and detail.
Being entirely handmade, slight variations in colour, fine detailing, or finish may appear when compared to the original image. These subtle differences are not flaws — they are the signature of authentic, handcrafted art, and a mark of the human touch behind every piece.
Thoughtful Packaging & Safe Delivery
We understand that each artwork is precious. Every piece is carefully packed using protective materials to ensure it reaches you in pristine condition. Fragile creations are given special attention, with secure wrapping and reinforced packaging designed to safeguard the artwork throughout its journey to your doorstep.
Caring for Your Artwork
To preserve the beauty of your piece for years to come, a few simple steps go a long way. For paintings on cloth and palm leaf, keep your artwork away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture, as these may affect the natural colours over time. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid using water or chemical cleaners. For traditional palm leaf (Tala Patra) works, store in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the leaf.
Stone artworks are durable by nature and can be placed both indoors and outdoors, making them a beautiful addition to gardens, balconies, and open spaces as well as interior settings.
