This stone hanuman idol for home stands tall in pink-red stone, with a big round prabhavali glowing behind his head. He holds his gada, the mace, in the lowered left hand, its head resting on the ground. His right hand is raised in the Abhaya mudra, the blessing hand. His face is calm and his eyes look down. Devotees pray to Hanuman as the one who stands beside his devotees with strength and steady devotion.
How We Make This Standing Hanuman
Our karigars carve this idol by hand from one block of stone. Then they polish it until it shines. The pink-red stone has cream and tan bands running through it, so no two idols look alike. Look at the edge of the prabhavali, which is cut like small petals. The tall pointed mukut sits above it. A necklace and a cloth cross his chest, and armbands and bangles sit on his arms. A short pleated waist cloth hangs in front, with a long pleated cloth flaring out behind his legs. Anklets circle his feet. He stands on a round lotus base. Dust it with a soft dry cloth now and then and the polish stays bright. Under the light of a diya, the polished stone glows warm.
A Hanuman Chosen for You
Every idol in our shop is picked by us the way we would pick one for our own mandir. If you want this Hanuman in another size, or a matching Ram idol, our karigars can make it for you. Message us with any question.
The Art of Handcrafted Heritage
Every piece offered at Janijatra is an original work of art, handcrafted by skilled artisans who carry forward Odisha's centuries-old traditions of Pattachitra and Tala Patra Chitra. Each stroke is made by hand, making every creation distinct, soulful, and impossible to replicate exactly.
Made Exclusively for You
The artwork displayed in the image is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted piece. As our creations are individually made, the exact piece shown may already be sold or may not be currently available. Should you place an order, a new piece will be specially handcrafted for you with the same care and detail.
Being entirely handmade, slight variations in colour, fine detailing, or finish may appear when compared to the original image. These subtle differences are not flaws — they are the signature of authentic, handcrafted art, and a mark of the human touch behind every piece.
Thoughtful Packaging & Safe Delivery
We understand that each artwork is precious. Every piece is carefully packed using protective materials to ensure it reaches you in pristine condition. Fragile creations are given special attention, with secure wrapping and reinforced packaging designed to safeguard the artwork throughout its journey to your doorstep.
Caring for Your Artwork
To preserve the beauty of your piece for years to come, a few simple steps go a long way. For paintings on cloth and palm leaf, keep your artwork away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture, as these may affect the natural colours over time. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid using water or chemical cleaners. For traditional palm leaf (Tala Patra) works, store in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the leaf.
Stone artworks are durable by nature and can be placed both indoors and outdoors, making them a beautiful addition to gardens, balconies, and open spaces as well as interior settings.
